Select the plan that fits your level of physician-supervised weight management.
Book Online or In-Person Appointment
Please purchase a Weight Management Plan before booking your appointment. After your plan purchase is complete, schedule either an in-person or virtual medical weight-loss appointment with the physician to review your medical history and discuss your prescription, when medically appropriate.
Medication cost is separate from the Weight Management Plan and is paid by the patient directly to the pharmacy. When medically appropriate, we can prescribe brand-name medication or compounded medication prepared and dispensed by a properly licensed pharmacy. Medication options, availability and cost vary and will be discussed with you.
Medical weight management at Dermacare Medical combines physician evaluation, individualized treatment planning, nutrition and lifestyle guidance, and prescription weight-management medication when medically appropriate.
Rather than simply providing a prescription, Dr. Yuriy Yagudin evaluates each patient’s health history, weight-related risks, goals and response to treatment and provides ongoing in-person medical follow-up.

Obesity and overweight are chronic health conditions influenced by biology, appetite regulation, metabolism, medical conditions, medications, lifestyle and other factors. Effective treatment may require more than willpower or a short-term diet.
Our goal is to develop a sustainable plan based on medical evaluation. For appropriate patients, treatment may include FDA-approved medications such as Wegovy® (semaglutide) or Zepbound® (tirzepatide), together with nutrition, physical activity and ongoing monitoring.
Medical history, current medications, weight history, goals and relevant health risks are reviewed before treatment.
Medication is not automatically appropriate for every patient. Treatment is selected according to clinical needs, contraindications and goals.
Progress, tolerability, nutrition, activity and treatment response are reviewed so the plan can be adjusted when appropriate.
Prescription weight-management medications are considered according to the specific medication’s FDA-approved indications, a patient’s BMI and weight-related health conditions, medical history and contraindications. A consultation is necessary to determine whether medication-assisted weight management is appropriate.
Patients may also benefit from medical evaluation even when medication is not recommended. Weight management can include nutrition, physical activity, behavioral strategies and evaluation of health factors that may affect weight.
Wegovy is a GLP-1 receptor agonist used, together with reduced-calorie nutrition and increased physical activity, for long-term weight reduction and maintenance in appropriately selected patients. It can reduce appetite and food intake through GLP-1 receptor activity.
Wegovy is not the same branded medication as Ozempic. Both contain semaglutide, but they have distinct FDA labeling and approved uses.
Zepbound acts at both GIP and GLP-1 receptors and is used, together with reduced-calorie nutrition and increased physical activity, for long-term weight reduction and maintenance in appropriately selected adults.
Zepbound is not the same branded medication as Mounjaro. Both contain tirzepatide, but they have distinct FDA labeling and approved uses.
Medication selection, formulation, dosing and escalation are determined individually. Prescription medications should be used only under appropriate medical supervision.
Clinical trials of modern GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 therapies have demonstrated substantial average weight reduction in appropriately selected patients. However, individual results vary considerably according to medication, dose, treatment duration, adherence, health conditions and other factors.
We do not promise a specific percentage of weight loss. The goal is medically appropriate, sustainable weight reduction and improvement in weight-related health risks when possible.
Individual results vary. Before-and-after images do not guarantee a specific result.
Medical weight management benefits from a physician who can evaluate the patient as a whole rather than focusing only on the number on the scale. Dr. Yuriy Yagudin is board-certified in Internal Medicine and provides an in-person, individualized approach at Dermacare Medical.
The program emphasizes medical assessment, patient education, realistic goals, ongoing support and adjustment of treatment according to clinical response.
Our program is designed around continuing physician involvement. Medication, when appropriate, is one component of treatment—not the entire program.
Nutrition, physical activity, tolerability, health risks and long-term weight-management strategy are discussed throughout care.
GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 medications are not appropriate for everyone. Wegovy and Zepbound carry boxed warnings concerning thyroid C-cell tumors observed in rodents; it is unknown whether these medications cause such tumors in humans. They are contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
These medications can also have gastrointestinal and other adverse effects and important precautions. A complete medical and medication history is necessary before treatment. Pregnancy, certain medical conditions, planned procedures requiring anesthesia or deep sedation, and use of other medications may affect treatment decisions.
This page is an overview and does not replace the medication’s current prescribing information, Medication Guide, or an individual medical evaluation.
Wegovy contains semaglutide and acts at the GLP-1 receptor. Zepbound contains tirzepatide and acts at both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. They have different formulations, dosing and prescribing information, and treatment should be individualized.
There is no guaranteed amount. Clinical studies report average results across groups of patients, but individual weight loss varies based on medication, dose, duration, adherence, medical factors and lifestyle.
Yes. FDA-approved weight-management medications are used in conjunction with reduced-calorie nutrition and increased physical activity when appropriate.
Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation and abdominal discomfort are among the commonly reported effects of these medication classes. Risks differ by medication and are reviewed before prescribing.
Contraindications and precautions depend on the medication. For Wegovy and Zepbound, a personal or family history of MTC or MEN 2 is an important contraindication. Other medical factors may also make treatment inappropriate.
Follow-up is individualized according to the medication, treatment stage, response, side effects and medical needs.
Weight-management medications are used as part of a long-term treatment strategy. Weight regain can occur after treatment is stopped, which is one reason long-term planning and lifestyle support are important.
No. Medication may be useful for appropriate patients, but medical weight management also addresses nutrition, physical activity, health risks, goals and strategies for maintaining progress.
Meet with Dr. Yuriy Yagudin to discuss your weight history, health concerns, goals and whether prescription weight-management treatment is medically appropriate for you.
