What Is Radiesse?
Radiesse is an injectable dermal filler and biostimulator made with calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. The gel provides immediate volume and smoothing, while the CaHA microspheres support a regenerative response involving collagen and elastin.
FDA-approved uses include correction of moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds. Radiesse is also approved for hand volume loss, and Radiesse (+) is approved to improve moderate-to-severe loss of jawline contour in adults over 21. A specialized 1:2 saline dilution is approved for décolleté wrinkles in patients 22 and older.

How Radiesse Works
Radiesse combines immediate structural correction with biostimulation. After injection, the gel carrier provides initial volume and contour. Over time, CaHA microspheres support production of collagen and elastin, helping improve skin quality as the carrier is gradually absorbed.
Visible correction can be seen immediately after treatment, while biostimulatory changes develop over time. Results have been demonstrated to last up to two years in studied patients, although individual duration varies.

Recovery & Aftercare
Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising can occur after treatment. Most patients return to normal daily activities quickly. Patients are generally advised to minimize strenuous activity and extensive sun or heat exposure during the initial post-treatment period or until initial redness and swelling have resolved.
Follow the individualized instructions provided after your treatment. Do not discontinue medically prescribed medications unless advised by the clinician who manages them.
What About Hyperdiluted Radiesse?
Hyperdiluted Radiesse uses a more dilute preparation to distribute CaHA across a broader treatment area with an emphasis on skin quality and biostimulation. A specific 1:2 dilution with sterile saline is FDA approved for décolleté wrinkles in patients 22 and older.

Radiesse for Other Facial Contouring
